Greetings all,
First, I would like to urge all of you to to tell your congress critters that
you don't think giving a free ride to the phone companies for illegally dumping
personal information to the government about citizens of this country. The
senate voted for the FISA revision which would do so. I'm know I'm a broken
record on this subject but for the love of Mike, people, you are watching the
erosion of all of your civil liberties and doing nothing about it.
And be advised. What the government is doing is not necessary. The US
government wants you to be afraid which frankly, ought to scare you, but the
fear should be of your government, not of terrorists attacking your local
Starbucks.
There was an amusing item in the local paper about a woman who was being
charged with murdering her husbands for the insurance money. Seems she’s gone
through five of them in the last twenty or thirty years and managed to make out
quite well doings. There were two reasons I found it amusing: First, the age of
the woman, which was, I believe, 72. The second was the picture of the woman,
which showed a an uber-grim looking, thinnish woman who distinctly reminded me,
for some reason, of a wasp. I had to figure that anybody who’d marry the woman
had something of a death wish to start out with, or, perhaps, she was an
excellent cook. Possibly both.
Oh, and her preferred mode of operation was a traffic accident. NOT poison.
Which brings us around to this outing of RDD, which is not in any way, shape
or form related to the above topic. Just thought I’d save you the trouble of
trying to figure out a connection that doesn’t actually connect.
